Your membership supports the mission of the society to recover, preserve, and promote the legal and judicial history of the state of California. All members receive the CSCHS Review and invitations to society-sponsored receptions and events. Judicial level or higher also receive: California Legal History, The Society’s scholarly journal. Other publications may also be offered by The Society depending on the membership level.
State Bar members who participate in the State Bar dues check-off program and who wish to upgrade to the Judicial membership level or higher will have their fee statement donation credited towards the upgrade. The additional benefits will begin immediately and last through the current membership year.
CSCHS MEMBERSHIP LEVELS:
Benefactor: $2,500 and above
Benefactor level members will receive free CLE on programs, and a hard copy of the Review and Journal.
Founder: $1,000-$2,499
Founder level is recommended for firms with 50 or more attorneys. Members at this level will receive free CLE on programs, and a hard copy of the Review and Journal.
Steward: $750-$999
Steward level members will receive free CLE on programs, and a hard copy of the Review and Journal.
Sponsor: $500-$749
Sponsor level is recommended for firms with 10 or fewer attorneys. They will receive free CLE on programs, and a hard copy of the Review and Journal.
Grantor: $250-$499
Grantor level members will receive free CLE on programs, and a hard copy of the Review and Journal.
Sustaining: $100-$249
Sustaining level is the minimum level for attorneys in private practice in order to receive free CLE on programs, and a hard copy of the Review and Journal.
Advocate: $60-$99
Advocate level is the minimum level for attorneys in private practice in order to receive free CLE on programs, a hard copy of the Review, and a link to the Journal.
Judicial: $50-$99
Judicial level is the minimum level for members of the judiciary, public sector professionals and educators, and entitles members to receive free CLE on programs, and a hard copy of the Review and the Journal.
Student: Free
Student level is for currently enrolled law, undergraduate and graduate students,
entitling them to notices for all programs. A voluntary donation is appreciated but not required.
